• Qualifications - I gained Chinese Mandarin Secondary Top Level Certificate from Chinese National Education Department. That level is prepared for teachers of Chinese at schools. That test proves that the Chinese you are learning from 5 Minute Chinese is accurate! People can understand you easily.
• Experience - I have been a Chinese instructor at all levels for about 10 years. Various experience equipped me better to know and understand my multiculture students. To know where they will feel difficult and how I can help them out at their standing.
• Never Stopped Learning - In order to prepare myself for more professional in teaching Chinese, I am also pursuing my second Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Other Language Speakers from Nanjing University (Think of it as China's version as English as a Second Language / ESL ). I go to China every year to keep pace with the fast-changing country to keep my teaching content and skills up to date with latest materials. So what you are learning from 5 minute Chinese is updated, and make your Chinese friends think you are so COOL and AWESOME! Because you are so CLOSE to them.
• Passion - I will say if I don't love what I am doing, I would never start 5 minute chinese and make myself unhappy. But love is not the only seed succeeding our career. Tons of people love Chinese, but not all of them can teach it well. I love it and it loves me too. Teaching Chinese is part of me. I enjoy teaching it and never feel hard to work on it. I know it is my talent area. Teaching Chinese is the gate God opens for me.
